Powerful tools for Caregivers Classes is a six week educational program designed to provide you with tools you need to take care of yourself. The program consists of six, 1 1/2 hour class sessions held weekly.

Lockport CARES is a new ministry composed of volunteers from several local churches spanning many different denominations from our area and is now providing an emergency homeless shelter with twelve beds here in the city. Jim Haid, who is coordinating this effort, is seeking additional volunteers and donations to help sustain this worthy cause. If you feel called to help, please contact Jim Haid at 433-5252
CARE—Call and Reassure Elders is a free Telephone Reassurance Program for all elderly or disabled homebound individuals in need of a phone call to ensure their safety. If you are interested in receiving this service or in becoming a CARE Volunteer to help make phone calls to homebound individuals, please contact Marea at the Dale Association at 433-1886 for more information.
Did you know the Dale Association has an “INCHARGE Home Care Program”, empowering consumers to self direct their homecare? Consumers recruit, hire, train, supervise, and schedule and if needed, dismiss the Care Aides of their choice. It is INCHARGE’s goal to empower people with disabilities to maintain their independence at home and to assist them with activities of daily living. Remember to notify the office if a loved one is admitted to the hospital. Because of a change in laws, we are not always notified of hospital admissions.
Care Telephone Reassurance Program for Homebound Adults: Do you know of someone who might benefit from a friendly daily phone call to check in on their well-being? The Dale is sponsoring a new CARE, Call and Reassure Elders service free to any homebound senior age 60 and older or any homebound disabled adult.
